Which course do I need for CWDP certification?
Only the NAWDP 5 Core Competency Training ($449) is required for CWDP certification eligibility. Workforce Rookie and Case Management are optional courses that build foundational skills. They’re great if you’re new to the field or want extra confidence, but are not required for certification.
What happens after I complete the NAWDP 5 Core Competency Training?
After your complete the course and pass all competency quizzes with 80% or higher, you’ll receive a certificate of completion. You then submit this certificate, along with your CWDP credential application to NAWDP. Once NAWDP review and approve your application, they’ll issue your official CDWP credential.
Do I need to be a NAWDP member to get certified?
Yes, NAWDP membership is required to apply for and maintain your CWDP credential. You can join NAWDP when you apply for your certification. Visit nawdp.org for membership details.
How long does it take to complete the certification course
Most people complete the NAWDP 5 Core Competency Training course in 7-10 hours of self-paced learning.
